Job Hunting

You would think that having a bachelor's degree from an in state institution would be of some help, but apparently it isn't. I have been looking for a job since November 9th, and I have had a handful of interviews - all of which turned up empty. I would say it is disheartening, but I don't think that does the whole situation justice.

It makes me wonder if going to school for 5 years was even worth it? Apparently if I had gone out after high school and gotten a job I would have a better chance of landing something now because at the least I would have experience in the work force. If you don't have 2 years of job quality experience AND a bachelors degree then no one wants to respond to your inquiries, let alone bring you in for an interview or even hire you for that matter.

I HOPE this isn't how things look after getting your masters degree. Obviously you have a much more focused degree which should help tremendously (unlike having a history degree), but still it worries me a little. Maybe I am going about this the wrong way? Maybe I am looking in the wrong places? Who knows - but what I do know is I am running out of money quickly and need to find a revenue stream asap............

Dream Life of Phinneus Baker.....

Do you ever wonder what you pets dream about? I do at least once a day. You would too if you had to see this sight......

Setting Up

Who knew that picking a name for your blog would take so long? After some soul-searching (and cheating by way of Jason Mraz's myspace page) I finally came up with the above title. I "kind of" ripped it off from his resident joyologist Tricia, but if she has so much joy to spread as he states, then I am sure she won't mind.

Welcome to joyology 101 aka my life in written words and pictures. I hope you enjoy it.....
